π¬π§π #166 New podcast. What? Are egoless leadership styles (like Ted Lasso and Taylor Swift) psychedelic? Plus: come to our first community event in LONDON!
Hi everyone,
I had quite an experience at our first community event at Fotografiska in Berlin a few weeks ago: I saw how much the need for meeting in person, seeing and listening to scientists and names in this industry is important. Also, how many people want to ask important questions in front of each other. Without shame and fear. We had a stellar panel and this is just the beginning.. More dates are coming!
We are coming to London!
In collaboration with Convergence Partners and Home Grown Club, The New Health ClubΒ is hosting the first event in London on Wednesday, 17th April 2024, 6.45pmΒ BST London time.
And we are calling all VCs, Investors and people that are curious how this industry works.
Psychedelic companies are all over the media now, defining a new idea around biotech and mental health solutions. Whilst aiming at addressing huge unmet medical needs, what exactly is this new industry around these compounds and substances? And when do they become a case for change in legislation? What are investors looking for in this space? And how does the perspective of a psychedelic founder or scientist look like?Β Join us and our brilliant panel of experts in the field to get insights and a glimpse into one of the most exciting industries and markets emerging in the coming years.Β

We have a new podcast aboutβ¦Psychedelics for the C-Level and how they can be a recipe for new leadership. Yup.
Social scientist Rachelle Sampson & Regenerative economist Bennet Zelner are working on a super interesting study and program.
Designed for executive leaders facing an increasingly complex world, the Connected Leadership Program explores the potential of psychedelics to unlock greater creativity and resourcefulness for navigating complexity. The program includes an in-person retreat at Kiyumi Retreats in the Netherlands, as well as virtual group and individual executive coaching sessions before and after the retreat. Enrollment is currently open for two cohorts starting in June 2024 and October 2024.Β
This program was developed in conjunction with the Connected Leadership Study, a novel research project led by Rachelle Sampson, Ph.D. and Bennet Zelner, Ph.D., faculty at the University of Marylandβs Smith School of Business who appeared on my most recent podcast episode. The study examines whether and how perspective shifts from psychedelic experiences affect decision-making in organizations.
Rachelle and Bennet will be hosting a webinar about the science of psychedelics for creativity, leadership, and decision-making on April 22nd from 12pm - 1pm ET. The webinar will include information and Q&A on the upcoming Connected Leadership Program cohorts. Rachelle and Bennet will be joined by Kerry Radcliffe, the program lead and part of the executive coaching team, and Luther Kitahata, a member of the executive coaching team. You may register for the webinar here.
Again, Iβm so excited about the potential of this project as well as that of the study, which is the first of its kind. If this piques your curiosity, please consider attending the webinar and applying for the program!
In the podcast, we talk aboutβ¦
the future of leadership
the future of psychdelic leadership
why we love to watch bad leadership on TV, why Don Draper was a traumatized leader and why Ted Lasso and Taylor Swift are modern ego-less leaders for the psychedelic age.
how a study about psychedelic leadership and the C-Level looks like and why these experiences could lead us to a whole new idea of leaders.
See you soon!
